MONTREAL– Liberal Public Safety critic Francis Scarpaleggia made the following statement today regarding the passing of RCMP pilot Dave Brolin:
“It is with great sadness that we mark the tragic passing of RCMP pilot Dave Brolin.
Mr. Brolin’s sacrifice reminds us all of the dangers our men and women of the RCMP face every day in the service of their duties and being a civilian in the RCMP does not limit those dangers.
Our members of the RCMP make a commitment to serve communities across Canada, to enforce our laws and to ensure the safety of our citizens. As we mourn his loss, we thank Dave for his commitment and dedication to the RCMP and to the country.
On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I extend my deepest condolences to the Brolin family, friends and Dave’s colleagues in RCMP E Division.”
